Citizen ' s allowance
If you don't have enough money to cover your own essential living expenses, you can apply for citizen's allowance.
BAföG for school students
You can receive individual financial support for your school education if you do not have any other means to cover your living costs and education.
Apply for BAföG for school pupils
Vocational training allowance (BAB)
Anyone planning a dual training course wants to stand on their own two feet - also financially. Under certain conditions, the Federal Employment Agency (BA) will support you with a grant.

You can receive individual financial support for your studies if you do not have any other means to cover your living costs and studies.
Study start-up aid
If you or your family received social benefits directly before starting your studies, you may be granted a one-off study start-up grant of €1000 in addition to BAföG. You must apply for this separately at the BAföG office.
Erlangen Youth Employment Agency
At the Youth Employment Agency (JUBA), teenagers and young adults receive comprehensive support to help them gain a foothold in the job market or university and cope well with the numerous requirements.
