The Kriegenbrunn municipal children's home looks after children from the age of one until they start school. The facility has a total capacity of 87 children (75 kindergarten children and 12 crèche children) and also offers integrative places.
The municipal children's home is located in the Kriegenbrunn district and is part of the Frauenaurach elementary school catchment area.
The Kriegenbrunn children's home works according to a partially open room concept. The children here each have a fixed home group, but also meet across groups (during early and late services, garden times, activities and offers). The children also have the opportunity to visit each other in the groups.
The nursery has the following premises:
The crèche consists of an:
- Entrance and play corridor area with checkroom
- Group room with play area and a dining area with kitchenette
- Washroom with toilets, shower and changing area
- Sleeping room
- Outdoor area with sandpit, play frame
Each kindergarten group (3 groups) consists of one:
- Group room with different play areas (e.g. building corner, painting corner)

- Checkroom area
- Bathroom (2 bathrooms for 2 groups, one bathroom is equipped with a changing table)
The children's house also has
- Multi-purpose room
- kitchen
- office
- Staff room
- Huge garden with mud pit and various play equipment (nest swing, swing, climbing tower with slide, tree house, rope course, number parkour, wooden horses, soccer pitch with goals)
Fundamental values such as respect, appreciation, attentiveness and loyalty have a firm place here. We teachers see it as our core task to perceive and accompany the children's elementary world in its natural state. We make ourselves available as companions and are grateful for the daily experiences that the children give us. This makes the diversity of life in our children's house visible and tangible. We in the team live authenticity and congruence. Both sensitize children to moods and emotions and create trust. Through these impulses, we send the children on a journey to themselves and strengthen them for the future.
