The City of Erlangen’s Children’s Cultural Office is once again inviting children to “Kinderland” during the second week of summer vacation, from Monday, August 10, through Friday, August 14. This popular vacation program will take place at the new kubic Culture and Education Campus (Südliche Stadtmauerstraße 35). Under the theme “Adventure in the Air,” everything revolves around this exciting element that surrounds us. Every day, there will be a variety of activities for children ages six and up. The program includes, among other things, a magic workshop, a newspaper editorial office, a flag-making workshop, an open-air art studio, a ceramics and building-block workshop, a cooking and baking studio, a basket-weaving workshop, needle felting, paper making, and face painting. A bounce house and a ball pit also invite kids to play and let off steam. Some stations are open all week, while others take place only on specific days.
Every morning at 8:30 a.m., a children’s movie is shown. The hands-on stations then open at 10:00 a.m. and can be visited without registration. The program offers many opportunities to explore the theme of “air” and get creative—whether through crafts, experiments, design, or movement.
Kinderland is an open-access event. Only the individual stations are staffed; no additional supervision is provided. Kinderland is suitable for school-age children who can participate in the activities independently and without their parents.
A vacation pass is required to participate. It can be purchased online or on-site for 5.00 euros.
