Tackling the climate budget
Stand: 26.09.2024
In 2020, the city of Erlangen decided to use its room for maneuver to achieve the 1.5°C target. Erlangen is daring to make a climate start for a city worth living in - now and in the future.
Join in and use the city's funding program to put your climate protection project into practice. Every year, 65,000 euros are available for the citizens of Erlangen. The funding program was developed specifically for the citizens of Erlangen's city and district districts to initiate change on the ground. The local and district advisory councils are directly involved in approving the applications submitted.
There is an annual application deadline.
What is funded?
There are (almost) no limits to your imagination. Many things are conceivable around the topic of climate protection and the common good! Think about how you can put more climate protection into practice in your town or district. Here are a few ideas:
- Information events, action days and workshops on climate protection topics: e.g. PV devices, climate-friendly mobility, what each individual can do
- Educational projects in schools and daycare centers: Many things are conceivable here! From greening the playground to climate-friendly school travel challenges!
- Food sharing distribution stations, measures against food waste
- Upcycling campaigns and workshops, awareness-raising on the topic of waste and sufficiency
- Workshops, information evenings for citizens: What can each individual do?
- Climate-friendly nutrition
- Climate-friendly mobility
- Flea markets and swaps
- Climate adaptation measures
- Urban gardening, greening the district
- And much more...
The local and district advisory councils are looking forward to the diverse projects of the citizens for a climate-friendly and thus grandchild-friendly Erlangen. If you are still looking for a suitable idea, you can find inspiration for local projects on the Climate Connect platform. Feel free to share the news about the new climate funding program with family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances!
These projects have already been financed and implemented from the climate budget!
