Early Intervention Coordination Office (KoKi)

Goal

The Early Intervention Coordination Office supports parents in fulfilling their parenting responsibilities, even in difficult life situations.

Services

• Counseling and support for (expectant) parents
• Expansion, maintenance, and coordination of a reliable network of all institutions, services, and professional groups in the healthcare and youth welfare sectors that are already working with the affected families to provide support
• Counseling and support for (expectant) parents, single parents, and families with children ages 0 to 3, including assistance with bonding and relationship difficulties with the child, uncertainties in managing everyday situations, and financial and housing problems.
• Collaboration with healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, midwives, early intervention centers) and youth welfare services (e.g., childcare facilities, daycare, family education centers)
• Referral to additional support services

Counseling for parents of children ages 0 to 3 regarding

• uncertainties regarding the child, excessive crying, sleep problems, and feeding difficulties
• Bonding and relationship difficulties with the child
• Uncertainty about managing everyday situations with the child
• Mental stress and mental health conditions
• Addiction issues
• Other social stresses
• Financial problems

Our Services

• Counseling for parents and professionals—anonymously if desired
• Upon request, we also make house calls or visit medical offices and counseling centers.
• The counseling sessions are free of charge.
• In accordance with the provisions of the Child and Youth Welfare Act, we are bound by data protection laws and the duty of confidentiality.
