Counseling and support for expectant parents, single parents, and families with children ages 0–3 in the Erlangen metropolitan area.
Goal
The Early Intervention Coordination Office supports parents in fulfilling their parenting responsibilities, even in difficult life situations.
Counseling for (expectant) parents with children ages 0 to 3
For example, in cases of
- Uncertainties regarding their child
- Regulatory difficulties (e.g., excessive crying, sleep problems, feeding difficulties)
- Mental health challenges and illnesses
- Attachment and relationship difficulties
- Coping with everyday situations
- Financial problems and many other issues

Services
- Psychosocial counseling for (expectant) parents; video-based counseling is also available if needed
- Support for (expectant) parents, e.g., through the involvement of health and family specialists
- Referral to additional support services, if necessary
Services
- KoKi’s services are free of charge and voluntary.
- Upon request, we also visit homes, medical offices, and counseling centers.
- Counseling for parents and professionals—also available anonymously, if desired
- In accordance with the provisions of the Child and Youth Welfare Act, we are bound by data protection laws and confidentiality obligations.
Networking
- Expanding, maintaining, and coordinating a reliable network with all institutions, services, and professional groups in the healthcare and youth welfare sectors, as well as others.
- Collaboration with healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, midwives, early intervention centers) and youth welfare professionals (e.g., childcare facilities, daycare centers, family education centers) and others
- The goal is to establish a reliable, regional network to provide the best possible support to (expectant) parents, single parents, and families with children ages 0 to 3.

Expectant parents and parents of children aged 0-3 years can find advice and support here. We advise you, for example, on uncertainties with the child, increased crying, sleeping problems, feeding difficulties, uncertainties in coping with everyday situations with the child, psychological stress.
