Your Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the designated qualified electrician (vEFK)
  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing inspections of portable and stationary electrical equipment across all departments of the City of Erlangen, as well as repairs to machine tools and work machines, and updating system documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards as well as legal regulations, standards, and inspection deadlines (including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG), DGUV Regulations 3 & 4, the Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV), and DIN VDE)
  • Electrical installations on construction sites, particularly in the areas of drywall construction, fire protection, as well as during renovations, refurbishments, and outdoor electrical systems; assessing electrical safety and deciding on the approval or decommissioning of equipment
  • Development and updating of electrical testing plans, as well as work and operating instructions; establishment of testing standards and schedules; and participation in training sessions, hazard assessments, and safety plans
  • Directly managing a small team, as well as providing technical guidance and support to electrically trained personnel (EuP) and certified electricians (EFK)

Your Profile:

  • Completed advanced training as a Master Electrician
  • Class B driver’s license (please include proof)
  • Ability to work independently, strong negotiation and organizational skills, resilience, assertiveness, flexibility, and the ability to work well in a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as a friendly, confident, and articulate demeanor
  • Leadership experience is desirable
  • Proficiency in computer applications and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), as well as a willingness to learn how to use subject-specific software
