Your tasks:

  • Digital long-term archiving, in particular system administration and operation of the digital long-term archive DiPS.kommunal as well as transfer and processing of data from e-files, specialist procedures and other digital documents
  • System administration and maintenance of the specialist archival information software
  • Creation and maintenance of databases
  • Retroconversion of analog finding aids into digital form and integration into the specialist archival information software
  • Participation in the digitization strategy of the city archive
  • As IT officer, first point of contact for IT questions and rectification of technical faults in the city archive

Your profile:

  • Career qualification for the third qualification level of the "Education and Science" career path, specializing in archives (formerly higher archive service in Bavaria) or the "Natural Science and Technology" career path, specializing in administrative informatics or a university degree (Diplom / Bachelor / Magister) in archival sciences, history, cultural studies, digital humanities, computer philology, administrative informatics, computer science or a comparable subject area
  • Relevant professional experience in a public archive as well as familiarity with the OAIS model and knowledge of digital long-term archiving are desirable
  • Willingness to undergo further training and independently explore new topics
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, initiative and organizational talent
