Municipal Youth Welfare Office - as soon as possible - permanent position - Pay grade: EG S 8b TVöD-SuE - Work hours: 19.5–30 hours/week
The Lernstuben are daycare centers that provide individualized developmental support and educational guidance. They serve children ages 6 to 13. The Lernstuben are part of the Erlangen Youth Welfare Office’s program to strengthen families. They support children in a wide variety of life situations, helping them develop well, find their own path, and make the most of their talents and strengths.

Your Responsibilities:
- Providing structured and individualized support for children based on legal requirements and the specific program design of Erlangen’s municipal “Lernstuben”
- Supporting children in small groups or through one-on-one work, particularly for children with special educational needs and other support requirements within the framework of integration assistance
- Building a strong educational relationship with the children and establishing a partnership with parents in their children’s education
- Participatory work within the team, with the children, and with their families
- Cooperation and networking within the framework of the Erlangen City Youth Welfare Office’s education and prevention chain with pre-school and follow-up institutions, as well as representing the City Youth Welfare Office’s facility and its network partners externally
- Organizing field trips and vacation programs; planning and implementing project-based learning; and performing organizational and documentation tasks
Your Profile:
- Completed vocational training as a state-certified early childhood educator or comparable vocational training with certification as a qualified professional, or a completed degree as a certified social pedagogue (FH) or a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with state recognition, or a comparable degree with recognition as a specialist in a child day care center
- Creativity and a wealth of ideas regarding the design of educational programs
- Skills in inclusive work and in working with children with special needs
- A basic conceptual understanding of participatory work
- Strong ability to work in a team
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, as well as a capacity for innovation
