Care can affect anyone.
The Erlangen Care Support Center advises and supports all citizens of the city of Erlangen neutrally, individually and free of charge on all aspects of care.
Our tasks are
- We provide you with an overview of the "care jungle"
- We provide you with comprehensive advice on the subject of the need for care - including preventative care
- We inform you about the care and services available in Erlangen
- If necessary, we can refer you to further advice and specialist services
- We advise on relief and support services (e.g. for family caregivers)
- We provide support with applications and funding issues
- As a complaints and arbitration office, we help you to find solutions to disputes about care issues

You will find the Erlangen Care Support Center on the first floor of Nägelsbachstraße 38, 91052 Erlangen.
Note: Please make an appointment in advance. Individual appointments are also possible outside the opening hours stated in the contact information. Advice can also be given at your home on request.
Advice on care assistance from the district of Middle Franconia:
The district of Middle Franconia offers its hourly advice on financial benefits for statutory care assistance at the care support center every two weeks, close to your home, and provides support with applications. This relieves the burden on those affected who are unable to pay for their own care from their own resources.
Note: Appointments can be made via the care support center.
Owner of the Erlangen care support center:
The Erlangen Care Support Center is jointly supported and financed by the city of Erlangen, the statutory health and care insurance funds and the district of Middle Franconia.
The care support center is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care.
The care support point also works closely with the Derycedern e.V. association and other specialist agencies, care services and care facilities.

The General Advice Service for the Elderly provides information and advice on all aspects of ageing in Erlangen.
Advice for people with disabilities
Advice for people with disabilities provides an initial overview of personal and social law issues. We advise on all matters relating to disability and provide support with applications.
Housing advice
In our housing advice service, we provide information on adaptation options for the living environment and barrier-free home conversions. To enable people to live in their own homes for as long as possible, we also provide advice on alternative forms of living, care aids and financing options.
Senior citizen neighborhood work - advice and support on site
In various districts in Erlangen, there are neighborhood-oriented services for older people aged 60 and over. These promote the community of senior citizens, offer information and advice and support people in finding suitable help if required.
Senior events
The Department for Ageing and Generational Issues invites you to a variety of activities and social gatherings throughout the year. For ErlangenPass holders, some of the events are free and some are discounted.
