Internship in Open Youth Social Work

Are you studying a social sciences program and enjoy interacting with people? Do you enjoy working with young people, guiding them, and supporting them? Are you interested in learning more about the work of Open Youth Social Work and contributing your unique personality? Then an internship with Open Youth Social Work Bruck @ONE is the perfect fit for you.

We’re looking for a semester intern to start as soon as possible at the Open Youth Social Work Center in Bruck.
Spontaneous applications are welcome for other Open Youth Social Work facilities in the Erlangen metropolitan area. Applications are coordinated by the Bruck@ONE facility within the Open Youth Social Work department.

Your Responsibilities

• Facilitating the open drop-in sessions, providing academic support, counseling, and crisis support
• Supporting projects and programs
• Independently planning and carrying out projects and programs
• Handling administrative and organizational tasks
• Participating in working groups and committees
• Job shadowing

We expect

• Enrollment in a social sciences program
• Minimum age: 18 years
• You enjoy communicating with people
• You set boundaries within educational processes
• You are willing to support and guide young people in special life situations
• You enjoy contributing your own interests and strengths through activities or projects
• You have a respectful attitude
• You have a quick grasp of new concepts
• You have strong social skills, are a team player, and have organizational skills

The following are desirable:

• Previous experience in education, though not required
