Lord Mayor Dr. Florian Janik welcomes the citizens present to the digital citizens' assembly for the city as a whole and then refers to the general, usual regulations.
Furthermore, Lord Mayor Dr. Florian Janik reports that the digital citizens' assembly is not a citizens' assembly according to the provisions of the municipal code (Art. 18 GO). Motions cannot be submitted due to the digital format.
At 20:03, he begins to answer the citizens' concerns.
1. speed limit Äußere Brucker Straße / Rudolf-Steiner-Straße
It is requested that a speed limit be introduced in Äußere Brucker Straße / Rudolf-Steiner-Straße.
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
The legal requirements (e.g. danger and accident blackspot) to introduce a speed limit do not exist.
2. possibility of crossing at the Lilienthalstraße bus stop
It is suggested that a crossing facility be installed at the Lilienthalstraße bus stop.
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
The cost of constructing a crossing facility is very high due to the small road space. The high cost is disproportionate to the low number of users.
3. bus stop Waldstraße
Can the Waldstraße bus stop be extended?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
As the City of Erlangen does not own the area, an extension is not possible.
4. bus route 290
The frequency of bus route 290 is not sufficient.
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
The suggestion will be included in the redrafting of the local transport plan.
5. crosswalk at Röthelheimbad
A question is asked as to when a crosswalk will be installed in front of the Röthelheimbad.
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
A crosswalk is not suitable at this location and is also not necessary due to the danger situation.
6. website of the city of Erlangen
There are links that cannot be reached from the old homepage to the new homepage. Can this be reprogrammed?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
The reprogramming represents a very high effort. On the new homepage, the desired page can be reached via the search function.
7 Accessibility on the homepage
Why were old reports (PDF format) no longer uploaded to the new homepage?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
According to legal regulations, a newly programmed homepage must be barrier-free. PDF files are generally not barrier-free. Making PDF files accessible is very time-consuming. For this reason, files in PDF format will no longer be uploaded to the new homepage in future. However, the content will be made available online.
8. expansion of charging infrastructure
How is the expansion of the charging infrastructure (e-charging stations) progressing?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
There were delivery difficulties last year. The planned expansion of the charging infrastructure can be viewed on the website.
9. light pollution
Where can traffic lights or street lamps be switched off?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
An examination of which lighting systems can be switched off has already been carried out for the entire city area.
10. information on street renovations
Are residents informed separately about street renovations?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
Residents are informed about road renovations in good time.
11. redevelopment of Max-Planck-Straße
When can the renovation of the street and the square be expected?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
An answer will be assured.
12. duration of naturalization applications
How long does it take to process a naturalization application?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
Currently, the processing time is slightly longer than usual, as a large number of refugees are currently arriving in Erlangen. Furthermore, communication with other institutions is required for naturalization, which can lead to longer processing times.
13. cycle path Eltersdorf and Tennenlohe
When will there be a continuous cycle path between Eltersdorf and Tennenlohe?
Lord Mayor, Dr. Janik:
An answer is assured.
Mayor Dr. Florian Janik closes the digital citizens' assembly at 8:21 pm and thanks the citizens for their participation.
