Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible management, development, oversight, and monitoring of service delivery within the Consulting and Education division, covering the areas of sustainability in city administration, education for sustainable development, energy consulting, and waste management consulting
  • Human resources matters and management
  • Budget, finance, controlling, and cost and performance accounting for the department
  • Organizational responsibility for the department
  • Promoting the division’s educational and advisory services and all related projects both within and outside the city administration, as well as publicizing events, conducting ongoing public relations work, and continuously managing communication channels (e.g., website, social media channels, newsletter, Rathausplatz 1, etc.)
  • Limited representation of the department head within one’s own area

Your Profile:

  • A completed degree as a Diplom-Ingenieur*in (FH) or Bachelor’s degree in environmental and climate protection, environmental engineering, or comparable fields of study; or career qualification at the third qualification level in the specialized career track for natural sciences and technology, with a professional focus on civil engineering and environmental administration
  • A strong understanding of leadership and the ability to motivate, challenge, and support employees
  • Experience in public relations
  • Confident and friendly demeanor, along with decisiveness
  • Facilitation skills and strong communication abilities, as well as the ability to handle and manage conflicts
