Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible management and dynamic development of the Payment Transactions department, which currently has 9 employees
  • Budget, finance, controlling, cost and performance accounting, and personnel planning for the department
  • Liquidity monitoring and planning for the parent company, the City of Erlangen; investment and repayment of financial assets and cash advances; negotiation of interest rates; and execution and monitoring of financial investments for the Erlangen foundations
  • Advanced administrative tasks, including handling complex accounting cases and making decisions on difficult issues
  • Review and execution of daily payment and posting orders, as well as distribution of payments
  • Daily and year-end closing tasks

Your Profile:

  • Eligibility for the third qualification level in the "Administration and Finance" professional track, or completion of Employee Training Course II (BL II), or a completed university degree in business administration (Bachelor’s or Diploma from a University of Applied Sciences)
  • Leadership experience is advantageous, ideally in the public sector, along with a strong understanding of leadership
  • Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and cash management law, as well as in the area of liquidity management, ideally with practical experience, is desirable
  • A confident and friendly demeanor, as well as the ability to work in a team and a willingness to cooperate
  • Focused and dedicated approach to working with numbers and data, as well as strong negotiation and organizational skills
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), as well as a willingness to learn specialized software (Informa NSK, SFirm)
