Social Worker for the Inpatient Services Unit

Municipal Youth Welfare Office - to start as soon as possible - fixed-term position expected to end on July 31, 2027 - Position level: EG S 14 TVöD-SuE - Work hours: 28.5 hours/week

Your Responsibilities:

  • Placement of young people in residential youth welfare facilities in accordance with Section 34 of SGB VIII
  • Temporary placement in care pursuant to Section 42a of Book VIII of the Social Code (SGB VIII) and placement in care pursuant to Section 42 of Book VIII of the Social Code (SGB VIII) of unaccompanied minor refugees
  • Implementing care plans in accordance with Section 36 of Book VIII of the Social Code (SGB VIII)
  • Providing counseling and support to young people and their families in connection with the implementation of residential care
  • Child protection in cases where a child’s welfare is at risk and participation in family court proceedings
  • Cooperation with General Social Services in case management

Your Profile:

  • Completed degree as a Certified Social Pedagogue (FH) or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with state certification as a Social Pedagogue
  • Class B driver’s license (please include proof)
  • Experience in the field of residential care or in General Social Services is desirable, particularly knowledge of youth welfare law and other field-specific legal regulations
  • Strong ability to work in a team
  • Openness and commitment to professional development
  • Flexibility regarding work hours, particularly when traveling for work
