Your tasks:

  • Holistic support of projects and plans within the framework of urban renewal (urban development funding)
  • Creation of urban development concepts for urban renewal and concepts for the design of high-quality public spaces (green and open spaces, streets and squares, pedestrian zones, traffic-calmed areas, etc.)
  • Supporting planning services, tenders and awarding contracts (e.g. ISEK, planning in accordance with HOAI, competitions, etc.) as well as submitting statements on third-party projects
  • Supervision of neighborhood management and implementation of citizen participation including media work (creation of flyers, press reports, articles for the Internet, social media, brochures, etc.)
  • Preparation, involvement and participation in other public events such as district advisory board meetings
  • Preparation for municipal committees, drafting documents and responding to inquiries

Your profile:

  • Completed university degree (Diploma (FH)/ Bachelor) in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, open space planning, urban and regional planning, spatial and environmental planning or geography (with demonstrable reference to the above-mentioned fields of activity) or qualification for the 3rd qualification level of the natural science and technology career path, specialist focus on civil engineering and environmental administration service, specialist field of building construction and urban planning or nature conservation and landscape management
  • Several years of professional experience (preferably with/in public administration) with sound knowledge and practical experience is desirable
  • Very good design skills and innovative thinking
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BauGB (special urban planning law), urban development law, public procurement law and HOAI as well as confident handling of MS Office, GIS, Adobe Creative and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work independently in a team as well as commitment, resilience, organizational talent and negotiating skills
  • Willingness to attend events and meetings, including evenings and weekends if necessary
