Municipal integrative playroom Junkersstraße 1
Stand: 05.11.2024
Spielstube Junkersstraße is a two-group integrative daycare center for individual developmental support and holistic education in the Bruck family support center with a total of up to 33 children
The same building also houses a family education facility, a learning room for primary school children and young people and open youth social work. The family support center is located in the social space of the families and therefore in the immediate living environment of the families.
In each group, up to 18 children between the ages of 2.5 and school entry are looked after by specialist educational staff. The facility offers up to 8 integrative places.
The children in the playroom mainly come from the Bruck district. This means that the playroom's catchment area is the Brucker Lache elementary school. The facility supports children and their families who find themselves in challenging circumstances and have an increased need for education, upbringing and support. The families are accompanied in an appreciative, supportive and intensive collaboration. The focus is on improving the children's future prospects together.
The focal points/special features of our educational work are: Small groups are formed from the main groups (bees and frogs), which correspond to the similar developmental stage/age of the children. This has advantages for the children: The children bring similar needs, interests, skills, developmental requirements and forms of understanding. The groups meet several times a week
Goals for the "Minis":
- Exercises to improve both fine motor skills and gross motor skills
- Developing fun with movement (movement songs, gymnastics)
- Create language opportunities (finger games, movement songs, reading time)
- Getting to know the premises
- First group experience (rituals, rules, daily structure and social learning)
Goals for the "middle children":
- Language as a key function for full participation in social and cultural life
- Motivation and ability to communicate
- Further development of structures to create diverse experiences around book-narrative rhymes and written culture
Goals for the "preschoolers":
The lesson is structured similarly to a school lesson in order to slowly accustom the children to the school atmosphere. The aim is to strengthen the children's ability to concentrate, their perseverance in listening and their ability to complete tasks carefully and purposefully. In this way, the children should lay the foundations for a successful school attendance. Numbers, shapes and letters are covered so that the children can familiarize themselves with them. The children's motor, emotional and social development is also positively influenced by the various exercises.
