Your Responsibilities:
- Post-project review of municipal construction projects from the bidding process through to final billing, as well as engineering and specialized planning services and their billing, followed by the preparation of an audit report and presentation of the results to political decision-makers at the audit committee meeting
- Contract award audits in accordance with municipal procurement guidelines, as well as documentation of the audit findings
- Project oversight of construction projects in accordance with internal regulations, typically during the design planning phase
- Prevention and combating of corruption in the construction sector (conceptual considerations, consulting and training, taking action in cases of suspected corruption)
- Providing advice to municipal departments on public procurement law and fee regulations; collaborating on amendments to internal municipal regulations and participating in the Working Group of Bavarian Audit and Inspection Offices
- Acting as representative for the area of technical review of civil engineering and building construction
Your Profile:
- A completed degree as a Diplom-Ingenieur*in (FH) or a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering in Construction, or comparable degree programs; or career qualification for the third qualification level of the “Natural Sciences and Technology” professional track, with a specialization in civil engineering and environmental administration
- Thorough and comprehensive expertise in construction engineering and architecture in building construction or civil engineering, as well as several years of professional experience
- Solid knowledge of public procurement and contract law (HOAI, VOB, and VgV, etc.)
- A Class B driver’s license is desirable (please provide proof)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as good computer skills (MS Office, nsk, various software packages used in the construction and procurement sectors), are mandatory
- Decisiveness, initiative, and a willingness to work as part of a team
