Office of Urban Planning and Mobility - to start as soon as possible - fixed-term position through June 30, 2028 - Pay grade: EG 12 TVöD - Workweek: 39 hours/week

Your Responsibilities:

  • Planning and design of particularly complex and significant transportation infrastructure projects with a high level of detail (preliminary planning in accordance with HOAI)
  • Design of road and path systems within the framework of zoning plans, planning of infrastructure development and feasibility studies
  • Traffic consulting, technical coordination, and oversight of third-party road planning projects (e.g., StBAN)
  • Conducting procurement procedures, as well as acceptance and billing of expert services
  • Presentation of planning documents within the city administration and to third parties
  • Support for municipal committees, preparation of documents and responses to inquiries, as well as participation in meetings and site visits

Your Profile:

  • A completed degree as a Diplom-Ingenieur*in (FH) or Bachelor of Engineering in the fields of Road and Transportation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering—with a focus on Transportation, Urban Mobility, or a comparable field of study
  • Several years of professional experience in the design of transportation infrastructure, preferably in public administration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transportation and environmental law, as well as relevant FGSV guidelines (e.g., RASt, ERA, EFA), the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), and the Federal Regulations for Public Transport (BOStrab)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/BricsCAD and GIS (QGIS)
  • Confident presentation skills, the ability to work independently as part of a team, as well as dedication, resilience, organizational skills, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to participate in events and meetings, including evenings and weekends if necessary
