A school route map provides good information.

Dear parents of primary school children,

walking to school

  • wakes you up in the morning,
  • keeps you fit and healthy,
  • gives time for friendships,
  • trains behavior in traffic,
  • increases concentration in class and
  • is good for the climate!


In order to get an overview of the recommended route to school in advance and to be able to practise this with the child, the school administration office, in cooperation with the ACE and the youth traffic school of the Erlangen City Police Department, has drawn up a school route map for every elementary school. The recommended routes to school and road crossings are shown here. The maps also contain information on pick-up and drop-off zones, if these have already been set up at the school. You can obtain the school route plan from your elementary school or in digital form from the school administration office.
