Parking Plan for Downtown Erlangen

A parking plan for downtown Erlangen was developed in collaboration with affected stakeholders.
The plan is being tested as part of a pilot project at Bohlenplatz.
The goal is to reduce sidewalk parking, establish loading zones, and develop new parking regulations.

Evaluation of the results expected in the summer of 2026
The pilot project began in Q1 2024. The pilot phase will run from Q3 2025 to Q1 2026. Following that, the findings from the pilot project will be implemented throughout the entire downtown area.
Consulting services amount to 53,000 euros. The costs for signs, parking ticket machines, and pavement markings are handled by Department 66 and total approximately 40,000 euros.
