If you have entered into a civil partnership and need a new civil partnership certificate, you can apply for one at the registry office. To do so, please contact the registry office in whose jurisdiction the civil partnership was established. The civil partnership certificate serves as proof that you have entered into a civil partnership with your partner. Among other things, it lists the names you use in the civil partnership. It also states the place and date the partnership was established. You can obtain the civil partnership certificate in various formats:
· As a civil partnership certificate
· As a certified printout from the civil partnership registry. This printout contains all the information entered in the civil partnership registry.
If changes occur after the civil partnership is established—for example, due to a name change—the entry in the registry is updated with a subsequent certification. Upon request, the civil registry office can then issue you a new civil partnership certificate.
