You can use this online application to request leasing certificate information online for a financed or leased vehicle.

If the registration certificate Part II is not in your possession due to financing or transfer by way of security, you must arrange for it to be sent to the registration authority before you visit the registration authority or carry out certain registration matters. You can then request information from your registration authority as to whether the registration certificate Part II has already been received there.
The original of the registration certificate part II is required for the following registration matters:
- New registration
- Change of owner
- Change of residence to a new registration district if the previous license plate number is not retained
- Change of name (e.g. due to marriage)
- Allocation of a new license plate
- License plate change, e.g. after theft or loss
- Changes to a seasonal license plate or when changing the seasonal period
- Change to a classic car license plate (H)
- Change to a license plate for electrically powered vehicles (E)
Your lender or lessor sends the registration certificate part II directly to the responsible vehicle registration office. The registration matter can only be carried out once the document has been received by the registration authority.
You will need the vehicle identification number or the number of the registration certificate part II for the information.
The licensing authority will provide the relevant information on request. It can provide this information online.
Please make sure that you carry out your registration matter promptly or, if necessary, agree with the lender or lessor when they can reclaim the registration certificate Part II from the registration authority.
