Informationen
In General Circular on Road Construction No. 13/2011 dated October 18, 2011, published in the *Verkehrsblatt*, the Federal Ministry of Transport, Construction, and Urban Development published the Guidelines for Landscape Conservation Planning in Road Construction (RLBP), 2011 edition, and the Sample Maps for the Uniform Design of Landscape Conservation Plans in Road Construction (LBP Sample Maps), 2011 edition.
The RLBP and the LBP Sample Maps are being implemented with modifications and adjustments for the Bavarian Road Construction Administration. Due to their close integration with the “Guidelines on the Planning Process and for the Standardized Design of Design Documents in Road Construction, 2012 Edition” (RE 2012), we ask that you also refer to the circular from the then-Supreme Construction Authority in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior dated May 31, 2013, Ref. No.: IID2-43411-007/90, regarding the introduction of RE 2012, which also refers in several places to the documents pertaining to landscape conservation planning.
The use of the guidelines, sample maps, and the accompanying adjustments requires relevant expertise in nature conservation, law, and landscape planning. It is intended for professionals in the field of landscape planning.
- The required documents are determined on a case-by-case basis by the project sponsor and the competent licensing authority.

Report on “Impact Management and Species Conservation” with Fact Sheets
The expert report titled “Regulations on Human Interference and Species Conservation,” prepared as part of the research and development project (FE 02.0235/2003/LR), forms the technical basis for the guidelines. The report serves to supplement the guidelines and provides technical and legal background information. It includes an explanatory text as well as in-depth and supplementary fact sheets on important work steps and specific issues. The guidelines recommend referring to the fact sheets in the report, which are indicated by “MB.”
