Third-Class Waterways; Information on Waterway Maintenance

There are approximately 90,000 km of small water bodies in Bavaria. Municipalities and water and soil management associations are required to maintain these water bodies. In some cases, this maintenance obligation is also transferred to users (e.g., hydropower plant operators).
