Municipal properties; renting and leasing
The city of Erlangen rents and leases city-owned properties to citizens.
Informationen
The Real Estate Office is responsible for the letting and leasing of city-owned land not intended for public use.
There are a variety of possible uses:
- Agricultural use,
- horticultural use,
- parking space (also permanent rental),
- fishing rights of use,
- events,
- Construction site facilities and construction site access.
A rental or lease agreement under private law must be concluded in all cases. It is irrelevant whether the use is to be permanent (over a longer period of time) or temporary (e.g. for events).
Requests for the use of these areas are best made by e-mail with a site plan (e.g. from Google Maps) and details of:
- Purpose,
- Start and period
- Contact details of the person making the request.
Please note that the private-law contract does not include any public-law permits that may be required.
If necessary, these must be obtained independently and at the applicant's own expense.
If city-owned, non-dedicated areas are used without a contractual basis, a usage fee may have to be paid to the city.
The conclusion of a contract generally requires the involvement of other specialist departments, which results in a corresponding processing time. It is therefore strongly recommended that requests are submitted in good time - at least four weeks - before the intended use.
