The northern access to the parking lot road is therefore closed. It is not possible to turn out of the tannery at this point. Parking lot P4 remains open.
Number of parking spaces as before in the multi-storey parking lot
Following the demolition of the dilapidated multi-storey parking lot, work will now begin on a temporary parking lot at ground level. By the fall, 255 parking spaces and an additional four parking spaces for people with disabilities will be created there. The number of parking spaces corresponds to the capacity that was last available in the multi-storey parking lot. The former underground parking garage under the multi-storey parking lot has already been filled with recycled material. The area is now being paved, asphalted and landscaped.
Estimated costs of around 1.1 million euros
The new parking area is only temporary due to the ongoing planning for the "Regnitzstadt" project. In the future, more parking space is to be created in the "Regnitzstadt" than was previously available in the large parking lot through more efficient use of the space and modern parking garages. Based on the existing preliminary planning, the construction of the temporary parking lot is currently estimated to cost around 1.1 million euros.
