Wichtiger Hinweis
Bismarckstrasse
Stand: 20.04.2026
The road surface on Bismarckstrasse and Lorlebergplatz will be renewed from the end of August to the beginning of November.
The aim is to
- to improve road safety and
- maintain the road network in a sustainable and economical manner.
At the same time, the city is taking the opportunity to implement further improvements.
More green spaces
Around 210 square meters of asphalt will be unsealed along Bismarckstraße as part of the construction project. Eleven new trees will be planted in the resulting green spaces. This improves the urban climate and helps to adapt the street to hotter seasons.

Improvements for delivery traffic and pedestrians
Three new zones will be created for delivery and loading traffic to facilitate supplies in the district. Safety for pedestrians will be improved by two new crossing islands to the north and south of Lorlebergplatz.
At the Marquardsenstraße junction, an area will also be marked out on the carriageway where pedestrians can wait safely when crossing. In addition, 97 bicycle parking spaces will be created, including five specifically for cargo bikes.
New features at Lorlebergplatz
Parking spaces will also be rearranged in the Lorlebergplatz traffic circle. There will be
- two low-barrier charging stations for electric vehicles and
- two parking spaces for car sharing.
The disabled parking spaces will be designed in accordance with current regulations.
Overall, the number of parking spaces in Bismarckstraße and Lorlebergplatz will be reduced in favor of the aforementioned improvements. The flexibility for outdoor bar areas in the parking areas will be retained. The city will provide information about possible traffic disruptions in good time before construction work begins.
