The district council
Every district in Erlangen has its own advisory council. The City Center District Advisory Council represents your interests in the district in the city administration bodies. It can make recommendations and submit proposals on all issues affecting the district. In this way, it contributes to the political decision-making process in city politics. The city council, the responsible committee or the city administration departments must deal with the recommendations and applications within three months.

News from the district
Friedrich-List Street
From Monday, June 29, through Friday, August 21 (tentatively), Friedrich-List-Straße will be closed between Äußere Brucker Straße and Münchener Straße. A detour via Äußere Brucker Straße, Am Ehrenfriedhof, and Münchener Straße is signposted.
Parking Plan for Downtown Is Being Further Developed
The city of Erlangen is continuing to systematically develop its downtown parking plan. Following the positive results of the pilot project around Bohlenplatz, these successful measures will be expanded to other areas in the future. At the same time, a new temporary parking lot with 49 spaces is being built next to the kubic culture and education campus.
Future Parking on Michael-Vogel-Straße
The introduction of a parking management system is expected to provide 156 managed public parking spaces and three accessible public parking spaces in the future. Implementation is still scheduled for 2026.
