Help for San Carlos - Proceeds from the charity fiesta

Over 600 visitors celebrated at the charity fiesta in November. In doing so, they supported the town twinning work with San Carlos in Nicaragua. With the proceeds of 5,768 euros, the Erlangen-San Carlos town twinning association implements projects to promote the community and support families in the San Carlos districts of

• Santa Isabel
• Río Frio
• Barrio 30 de Mayo and
• the sub-community of Papaturro.

In each of these districts, a communal meal is to be organized for a total of almost 200 families. Packages of basic foodstuffs will also be distributed to low-income families there. The children will also receive a small gift.

The fiesta for San Carlos

It is a cooperation between the Office for Equal Opportunities and Diversity/International Relations of the City of Erlangen and

• the E-Werk cultural center
• the association Städtepartnerschaft Erlangen - San Carlos e.V.
• the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium
• the Franconian International School and
• the Weltladen Erlangen e.V.
