The Erlangen Youth Welfare Office Offers a Wide Range of Support

Parents and legal guardians can receive counseling from the Youth Welfare Office on issues related to the upbringing, care, and education of children and adolescents. They receive help and support when there are problems within the family. The focus is on preventive, family-supportive services that help create positive living conditions for families.

Children and adolescents, in particular, can also turn to the staff at the Youth Welfare Office if they have concerns or problems or find themselves in emergency situations. The Youth Welfare Office is tasked with protecting children and adolescents.

They range from counseling on pregnancy-related issues, early intervention services, high-quality child care, family education, family and parenting counseling, youth work, and youth social work in schools, to educational assistance and child protection, as well as official guardianships and curatorships.
