Städt. Integrative Primary School Learning Center Hertleinstr.59 a

The integrative primary school nursery is located at Am Anger in Hertleinstraße 59a and is part of the family support center located in this district. It looks after children from the Pestalozzi School (Sprengelschule) and the Otfried-Preußler School in Liegnitzerstraße.

The division into two core groups of 10 children each is implemented almost exclusively in the weekly structure, as this is not possible otherwise due to the spatial conditions. This means that on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, activities take place within the home groups, while on Tuesday and Friday, activities take place across the home groups. Lunch and homework time are spent exclusively within the home groups.

The primary school classroom has an entrance area with a stage, two large group rooms (one of which has an integrated open kitchen), an exercise room, a workroom with storage, a homework room, an office, a library with office space and two checkrooms.

In accordance with Section 1 of the Child and Youth Welfare Act (KJHG), our guiding principle is "The education of an independent and socially competent personality!"

The focus is on your child and their development, education and care, taking into account their living environment in order to meet them where they are.

Accordingly, the focus is on the further development and strengthening of

• personal skills
• Skills for acting in a social context
• learning methodological skills
• Competent handling of change and stress
• Educational partnership with parents

During school hours, the facility is open from 11.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m., during the vacations from 9.00 a.m. - 3.00 p.m.

Drop-off/pick-up times and rules:
The children come to the Lernstube directly after school.
The pick-up and drop-off time is between 4.45 pm and 5.00 pm.
During the vacations, drop-off time is at 9.00 am and pick-up time is at 3.00 pm.

Closing times:
The facility usually has 26 - 30 closing days. The closing days are announced to parents at the beginning of the school year. Regularly recurring closing days are during the Christmas vacations, the 1st week of the Whitsun holidays and from the 2nd - 5th week of the summer holidays.
