Nuremberg Metropolitan Region

Stand: 06.05.2026

Since 2005, 23 districts and eleven independent cities have been working together as partners.

The Nuremberg Metropolitan Region is a voluntary alliance of regional players across administrative boundaries. This alliance opens up new opportunities. Visibility in the world is our answer to globalization.

Erlangen is part of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region. It is

  • Home to committed and talented people from all over the world
  • A home for creative people.

Together, all members of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region meet the challenges that the growing Europe demands of us all. The number of member municipalities is large. But this is precisely why we work together in an organized and structured way - for the benefit of our inhabitants and the entire region.
