The Integrative Playroom at the Röthelheim11acht Family Center is a daycare center for children ages 3 and up until they start school.
The municipal daycare centers are designed for children and families facing challenging life circumstances and support them through respectful, supportive, and close collaboration. The focus is on working together to improve the children’s future opportunities.
The facility currently has space for a total of 16 children and offers up to 4 inclusive spots. A prompt expansion to two groups with a total of 32 children and 8 inclusive spots is planned.
The 11acht Family Center is located at 118 Hartmannstraße in the Röthelheim neighborhood.
An approach grounded in the children’s everyday lives and tailored to specific situations is designed to give children the opportunity to develop their diverse skills in a supportive and positive atmosphere, enabling them to transition with confidence to the next stage of their lives as they begin school. This is supported by a close partnership with parents or guardians in the child’s upbringing.
Each group has access to the following spaces: a main group room, two auxiliary group rooms, and a restroom with a shower. In addition, there is a multipurpose room that can be used by both groups, as well as a therapy room for specialized activities. A spacious rooftop terrace offers plenty of room for outdoor play, with climbing structures, play equipment, and seating areas.
The educational concept is based on the guidelines of the Bavarian Education and Upbringing Plan. The holistic approach is tailored to each child’s current stage of development and is guided by the principle of fostering the child’s independence.
