In this area, both the old existing pipeline will be replaced and security of supply created with a continuous connection of the water supply between Fuchsengarten and the Gerbereitunnel. With this measure, Erlanger Stadtwerke is also taking an important forward-looking step for the supply of the planned Regnitzstadt. The construction work is being carried out in sections so that access to the Sportland and access from the south, for example, remains guaranteed. Access to the Altstädter cemetery will also remain possible from the Fuchsengarten.

The city of Erlangen and Erlanger Stadtwerke are using the summer months for several important infrastructure measures: In addition to the comprehensive renovation of the Dechsendorfer Dam, work will also be carried out on the water network in Münchener Straße and a roadway renovation in Pfarrstraße. The aim is to bundle the necessary construction measures and ensure the long-term efficiency of the traffic and supply infrastructure.
