Fire Department; Review and Forwarding of Incident Reports

The volunteer and mandatory fire departments in the districts submit an incident report to the district fire chief regarding every operation involving fire suppression and technical rescue. False alarms, malicious alarms, and security patrols must also be reported. The web-based incident follow-up system is used for this purpose. Plant fire departments submit reports in the same format to the district fire chief, the head of the professional fire department, or the city fire chief.

The district fire chiefs, the heads of the professional fire departments, and the city fire chiefs ensure, within their respective areas of responsibility, that the incident reports recorded in the web-based incident follow-up system via the integrated control centers are checked for plausibility, completeness, and signatures, and report this to the regional governments.

The district administrations verify whether the reports on operations from their area of responsibility have been submitted, check the reports for plausibility, completeness, and signatures, and report this to the State Ministry of the Interior and Integration.

The district fire chiefs, the heads of the professional fire departments, and the municipal fire chiefs review the incident reports by February 15 of the following year at the latest and report this to the government.

The state governments review the reports and report their findings to the State Ministry of the Interior, Sports, and Integration by March 1 at the latest.
