As a measure of educational support for the schooling and vocational training of orphans and children of the disabled person, grants or loans can generally be awarded up to the age of 27. The trainee's own income and assets, as well as those of the injured party or person liable to pay maintenance, must be taken into account. - Assistance in special circumstances
This may be considered in accordance with the Social Security Code XII (social assistance), taking into account the special situation of the injured party and surviving dependants. - Care assistance

War blind people, people with impaired vision, paraplegics who receive a care allowance and other recipients of a care allowance as well as brain-damaged people and people whose degree of damage is at least 50 solely due to tuberculosis or facial disfigurement are to be granted effective special care by the main welfare offices.
In addition to war victims' welfare benefits, war and military service invalids and their surviving dependants who live in Bavaria can receive grants and loans from the Bavarian Foundation for War Victims and People with Disabilities for the purposes of vocational rehabilitation, educational assistance, health assistance, housing and assistance for the elderly and in special emergencies.
- Due to the injury and the loss of a spouse, parent, child or grandchild, the injured parties are not in a position to cover the need to be recognized from the other benefits under the aforementioned laws and other income and assets.
- Whether and to what extent income is to be taken into account depends on different and individual income limits. However, the use of income and assets may be waived in certain cases.
