Energy management" or "energy management" can be understood to mean all activities for the economic realization of the most energy-efficient operation of buildings and systems while complying with defined comfort limits.
The tasks of energy management in a local authority can include
- Ensuring the energy supply and optimal operational management of systems
- Planning and coordination of energy-saving measures
- Energy optimization of technical systems
- Reducing emissions through the use of renewable energy sources
- Carrying out building analyses
- Planning measures such as heating system refurbishment or thermal insulation measures
- Implementation of motivation programs for energy-conscious behaviour and employee training
- Recording and evaluating energy consumption: consumption controlling, benchmarking of water and energy consumption values, cost monitoring
