Informationen
If a person subject to compulsory school attendance fails to attend lessons or other compulsory school events without good reason, the school may apply to the district administrative authority to enforce compulsory school attendance. The district administrative authority may, through its representatives, compel the compulsory school leaver to attend school.
In order to enforce compulsory school attendance, the representatives of the district administrative authority may enter homes, business premises and pacified property and exercise direct coercion. Failure to comply with compulsory school attendance constitutes an administrative offense that can be punished with a fine against both the pupil and their legal guardians or the training company.
Further details on compulsory schooling and its enforcement are governed in particular by Art. 35 ff. and 118 ff. of the Bavarian Education and Teaching Act (BayEUG) (see "Legal bases").
