Donation receipt; issued by the municipality
Churches issue donation receipts for in-kind and monetary donations made for charitable or worthy causes.

If you make a monetary or in-kind donation to your municipality, it may issue a donation receipt if the donation is intended to support tax-deductible purposes. The donation receipt must be issued on an officially prescribed form.
A donation receipt from the municipality is not required if the donation does not exceed 300 euros. The tax authorities accept the cash deposit slip or the bank’s transaction confirmation as a donation receipt.
Since the 2017 tax assessment period, donation receipts or supporting documents need only be submitted to the tax office upon request.

Due to a relocation, the city treasury with its budget, municipal taxes and city treasury departments, including enforcement, can only be reached by e-mail from February 5 up to and including February 13. From Monday, February 16, the employees can be found in the administration building at Werner-von-Siemens-Straße 61 (1st floor).
