Business registration; business deregistration

If you give up the operation of your business, the business must be deregistered. The same applies if you relocate your business to another municipality. You must then deregister your business at the previous location and re-register it at the new location. If you relocate your business within the municipality, a business re-registration is sufficient.

The business deregistration must be made in writing using the form provided. Receipt of the business registration is certified by the competent authority.

You will also be notified of the business deregistration to other authorities (e.g. tax office, Chamber of Crafts or Chamber of Industry and Commerce). Please note that, irrespective of this, you must declare the cessation of your business to the tax office as part of your income tax return.

Age of majority or approval of the guardianship court

The notification must be made when the commercial activity is discontinued or the business is relocated.
