Register, deregister, or change the registration of a business online
With this online form, you can easily apply online to register, deregister, or change the details of your business.
To do so, please log in to your BayernID account with your username and password (4th option) or create a new account. Authentication via online ID card, EU ID, or ELSTER certificate is not required.
Citizen-friendly and digital: Simply fill out this online application directly in your web browser. In many cases, this saves you a trip to the government office.
If you cease operating your business, you must deregister it. If you relocate your business to another municipality, you must re-register it at the new location. The competent authority will forward the information from the business registration to the authority at your previous location. In addition, the business owner is no longer required to deregister at the previous location. If you relocate your business within the same municipality, a change of address for the business is sufficient.

Legal age or approval by the guardianship court
The business deregistration can be submitted in writing using the provided form to the municipality where the business is operated, or to the relevant Chamber of Industry and Commerce or Chamber of Crafts. If a competent authority offers an online procedure, the business deregistration can be submitted electronically through that system.
Other agencies (e.g., the tax office, the Chamber of Skilled Trades, or the Chamber of Industry and Commerce) are also notified of the business deregistration. Please note that, regardless of this, the cessation of business operations must be reported to the tax office as part of your income tax return.
The notification must be filed upon cessation of commercial activities.
