Informationen
In Bavaria, drafts for clean air plans are prepared by the governments in cooperation with the municipalities. By way of derogation, independent cities are responsible for drawing up the plan themselves if their population exceeds 100,000. The public is involved in the preparation of the plan. The plans are published by the responsible authority after consideration and assessment of the objections received. The measures provided for in the clean air plans to improve air quality are to be implemented at local and municipal level.
The basis for the preparation of clean air plans are the measured values of the Bavarian Air Hygiene Monitoring System (LÜB). It determines pollutant levels in accordance with EU regulations and is representative for Bavaria. If the immission limit values are exceeded at one of these measuring stations, the responsible authority must draw up a clean air plan that specifies the measures required to permanently reduce air pollution.
