City Management Erlangen has been in existence since 1997. It brings together more than 120 businesses that are city-focused or interested in the city from
- retail
- the local business community
- the hospitality industry
- restaurants
- service providers.
What does City Management do?
Registered as an independent association since April 2020, it serves as an intermediary and platform for action between its member businesses and the
- business
- politics
- government
and many other institutions. The shared goal is to enhance the appeal of “Erlangen as a shopping destination” and, thereby, Erlangen as a business hub. This is intended to attract more visitors and generate greater purchasing power from both the immediate and wider surrounding areas.

What services does it offer?
Together with its partners and members, it manages, supports, and coordinates a wide variety of projects and events in the city center for the benefit of the retail sector and Erlangen as a shopping destination. These include, among other things,
- event management for large-scale events
- advertising and public relations
- vacant storefront management
- organizing the Christmas lights.
City Gift Certificate
As a shopping gift certificate, it makes a great gift for anyone and any occasion. The classic gift certificate is available in denominations of 5 euros, 10 euros, 20 euros, or 50 euros. The City Gift Certificate can be redeemed at over 200 participating locations throughout Erlangen.
