Pilot project for after-work parking starts
Stand: 17.03.2026
The parking lot of an Aldi store is available to local residents in the evening and at night. After-work parking in supermarket parking lots is another measure to expand the supply in areas with particularly high parking pressure.
Mayor Florian Janik and representatives of the ALDI SOUTH Group, Fabien Busch (Director Real Estate) and Mike Brüning (Manager Regional Store Operations) officially opened the after-work parking pilot project at the store at Henkestraße 92 with a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 10. In future, parking spaces will be available there for local residents in the evening and at night. At the start of the test phase, 20 parking spaces will initially be available. The number can be adjusted at short notice depending on demand.
Multiple use of existing spaces
Especially in densely built-up areas with high parking pressure, finding a parking space in the evening is often a challenge. At the same time, private parking spaces - for example in supermarket parking lots - often remain unused outside of opening hours. After-work parking addresses this situation and enables multiple use of existing spaces.

Online booking of tickets
Parking tickets can be booked online via the www.my-prm.com platform. This booking option is also indicated on the signs at the parking lot. The technical platform and infrastructure for Feierabendparken is provided by ParkRaum-Management PRM GmbH from Tennenlohe.
Project as part of comprehensive improvements
The ALDI SOUTH project is part of the comprehensive work of the city of Erlangen to improve the use of existing parking space and better organize stationary traffic.
In addition to the revised parking fee regulations, the pilot project at Bohlenplatz and the multiple use of municipal parking spaces currently in preparation, after-work parking in supermarket parking lots is a further measure to expand the range of options in areas with particularly high parking pressure.
