Erlangen tourist information office awarded seal of quality
The tourist information office of the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association (ETM) now bears the "Service Quality Germany" seal of quality. The award is issued by the German Tourism Association (DTV), which guarantees service quality in the tourism sector in Germany. This was announced by ETM on October 22, 2024.
As part of the Q seal, the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association is participating in a nationwide initiative aimed at improving service quality in Germany. The aim of this initiative is to exceed customer expectations and strengthen the competitiveness of participating businesses through outstanding service. Companies that opt for certification are committed to a customer- and quality-oriented approach and the continuous optimization of their services.
"During the certification process, we scrutinized our own service processes, considered measures and have already implemented many of them. Our aim is to improve our own service quality in order to offer our guests and customers the best possible service," says Rebecca Pfeiffer, tourism specialist at the Erlangen Tourist Information Office and ETM employee responsible for the quality seal. "Improving service quality is very important to us. I am proud of our team, who are committed to helping shape this path. Their commitment is an important contribution to the success of our entire team," emphasizes Christian Frank, Managing Director of ETM.
Level I certification requires companies not only to establish a Q service chain that analyzes the various points of contact between customers and the company, but also to apply two additional Q tools. These tools deal with typical challenges in day-to-day work and support the companies in analyzing them and finding practicable solutions. Whether it is about customer communication, complaint management, dealing with evaluation portals or different surveys - businesses have the freedom to choose the tool that best suits their current needs.
About the ServiceQualität initiative: ServiceQualität Deutschland serves as a source of ideas for the development of measures, highlights the various points of contact with the customer and initiates internal improvement processes in the area of service quality. ServiceQualität Deutschland is a quality initiative of the German Tourism Association.
