The Tourist Information is the representative of the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association and the Erlangen City Management. The office is located near the train station - at Goethestraße 21 a. There is also the customer office of Erlanger Stadtwerke for the sale of tickets for local public transport.

Digital information terminal

Guests can access the digital information terminal via the website of the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association. Among other things, it provides information on places of interest, current events, city tours and tips for hiking and cycling routes.

Erlangen tourism on a strong course

Tourism figures in Erlangen remain at a high level after the record result of 2024, even if the previous year's result was not surpassed. According to the Bavarian State Office for Statistics, the Huguenot city achieved a result of 670,564 overnight stays, with a slight decrease of -2.5% compared to the previous year. The current data shows how tourism is and remains an economic factor in Erlangen. This was announced by the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association on February 10.

With 7.2% growth and a record result of 687,859 overnight stays, the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association recorded an absolute top result in 2024, which was difficult to top. Nevertheless, the current figures are still higher than the second-best year to date (2023; 641,479 overnight stays). The situation is similar for guest arrivals. 324,036 was the second-best figure to date (-2.6% compared to 2024).

Free public transport in the city center

Change for free! Free travel on the buses in Erlangen city center. Travel comfortably and quickly in Erlangen city center without looking for a parking space. Since January 1, 2024, it's been "free travel" on all bus routes within the free Erlangen city center area.

Parking in Erlangen

There is free capacity in the multi-storey and underground parking lots around the city center at all times of the day. From there, shops, restaurants and cultural institutions can be easily reached on foot or by bus in the free city center area. All parking areas are signposted.
