For out-of-town guests, it is the first place to go for questions about tourism.

The Tourist Information Office represents the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association as well as City Management Erlangen. The office is located near the train station—at Goethestraße 21a. The Erlangen Public Utilities customer service office, which sells tickets for local public transportation, is also located there.

Services Offered by the Tourist Information Office

  • Assistance in finding suitable lodging —including camping
  • Mailing of information packets and brochures
  • Sale of Erlangen City Gift Certificates
  • Advice on and booking of guided city tours
  • Sale of souvenirs
  • Sale of stamps and postcards
  • Arranging venues and room blocks through the Erlangen Conference Bureau

Digital Information Terminal

Visitors can access the digital information terminal via the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association’s website. There they’ll find, among other things, attractions, current events, city tours, and tips for hiking and biking routes.

Free public transportation in the city center

Hop on for free! Ride the buses for free in downtown Erlangen. Get around downtown Erlangen quickly and conveniently without having to search for parking. Since January 1, 2024, all bus routes within Erlangen’s free downtown zone have been offering “free rides.”

Parking in Erlangen

There are parking spaces available at all times of day in the parking garages and underground parking facilities around the downtown area. From there, you can easily reach shops, restaurants, and cultural venues on foot or by bus within the free downtown zone. All parking areas are clearly marked.
