The traffic counts form the basis for evaluating construction projects, but above all for upcoming planning efforts based on the results of the traffic development plan. The survey makes it possible to
- track the development of motorized traffic extending beyond the city limits, as well as
- the volume and composition of traffic on the inner-city road network be recorded, analyzed, and presented.
The counts thus serve as a fundamental decision-making criterion for future investments.
