Housing advice

In our housing advice service, we provide information on adaptation options for the living environment and barrier-free home conversions. To enable people to live in their own homes for as long as possible, we also provide advice on alternative forms of living, care aids and financing options.
Our services:
- We develop individual solutions for the current living situation
- We advise on adapting the living environment and/or on age-appropriate or barrier-free home conversions
- We provide support in applying for benefits and financing options
- We advise on alternative forms of living

The General Advice Service for the Elderly provides information and advice on all aspects of ageing in Erlangen.

Advice for people with disabilities provides an initial overview of personal and social law issues. We advise on all matters relating to disability and provide support with applications.
Senior citizen neighborhood work - advice and support on site
In various districts in Erlangen, there are neighborhood-oriented services for older people aged 60 and over. These promote the community of senior citizens, offer information and advice and support people in finding suitable help if required.
Senior events
The Department for Ageing and Generational Issues invites you to a variety of activities and social gatherings throughout the year. For ErlangenPass holders, some of the events are free and some are discounted.

Due to an internal event, the Department for Ageing and Generational Issues will not be available all day on Wednesday, October 8. From Thursday, October 9, the department staff will be available again in person and by telephone during regular office hours.
