Informationen
Pursuant to Section 26 of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), the competent authority may, for specific reasons, order that measurements of emissions and immissions be carried out by a body designated by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LfU). The LfU’s announcement can be found online (see “Related Links”).
Pursuant to Section 29a(1) of the BImSchG, the competent authority may order that the operator of a facility requiring a permit or a facility within an operational area, as defined by the Major AccidentsRegulation to commission an expert designated by the LfU to conduct safety-related inspections and reviews of safety-related documentation. The list of experts designated in Bavaria is also available online (see “Further Links”).
Measuring stations and experts registered in other federal states may also be commissioned. A compilation of measuring stations and experts registered in Germany is available online via the ReSyMeSa database (see “Further Links”).
Further details regarding the notification of agencies and experts are governed by the Notification Ordinance (41st BImSchV; see “Legal Basis”).
