Foster parents are individuals who take in, care for, and raise a child—whose biological family is unable to provide an upbringing that is in the child’s best interest—either for a specific period of time or on a permanent basis.

If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please contact your local youth welfare office. The staff at the youth welfare office will be happy to provide you with information about the requirements and the general structure of a foster care arrangement, as well as the current local needs.
Special social service
Here you will find the specialist service for full-time care, adoption placement, specialist service for inpatient assistance and unaccompanied minor foreigners, youth welfare in criminal proceedings, educational youth protection and local home supervision.
