Driving School Branch License; Application

The operation of branch locations of a driving school (i.e., classrooms at locations other than the driving school’s main facility) is permitted only if—in addition to the driving school license (see Related Topics)—a separate branch license has been obtained for each location. The district administrative authority where the branch is located is responsible for this.

• Information regarding the name and address of the driving school and the class of motor vehicles for which he intends to obtain a driving school branch license
• Statement indicating whether a driving school license has already been issued, and if so, by which authority
• A scale drawing of the classrooms, including details about their facilities
• Statement confirming that the required teaching materials are available
• List of the Number and Types of Training Vehicles
• When applying for more than ten branch offices: Submit additional documentation regarding operational organization (e.g., use of a certified quality management system)

Fees and expenses are charged in accordance with the Schedule of Fees for Road Traffic Measures (GebOSt).
