Adult Education Center; Payment of Fees

Fees are generally charged for attending courses or events at the Adult Education Center, and these fees must be paid at the time of registration.

Information about fees, discounts, and fee refunds can be found in the fee schedule or the General Terms and Conditions. Fees are listed for each course or event.

The Adult Education Center’s fee schedule and the fees for each course can be found on the website of the municipality, the county, or the Adult Education Center.

As a general rule, fees and expenses are charged for participation in courses offered by the Erlangen Adult Education Center (vhs). The amounts are specified in the respective course descriptions. Fees and expenses are due at the start of the course.

They will be debited from the specified account via SEPA direct debit no later than three weeks after the event begins. To process this, we require your bank account information and a valid SEPA direct debit authorization.

If you register in person at the service office, you can alternatively pay with your debit or credit card; in this case, the fee will be debited from your account immediately.

You may also pay by invoice, which will be sent to you after the course begins. If you are using the registration form in the program booklet, please write “Invoice” in the blank field for bank account information. When registering for a course online, please select the menu option “Invoice.”

Fees and expenses for German courses at levels A1/1 through C2/2 and for Goethe exams are due upon registration.

If you would like to pay the course fee by invoice, we will charge a flat processing fee of 5 euros to cover the additional costs.

If a direct debit or debit card transaction cannot be processed (e.g., due to incorrect bank account information or insufficient funds), the vhs will invoice you for the amount due plus a 5-euro processing fee and a returned debit fee (depending on your bank).

For organizational reasons, vouchers cannot be redeemed at the box office.

To process the course fees, we need your valid bank account information and the SEPA direct debit authorization.
